Boston sports fans face tough competition for
tickets to games.

It's expensive to be a fan in Boston. Tickets to Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics games are in high demand. And the supply of tickets is inadequate.

Some fans resort to scalping to get tickets. But it is illegal to sell tickets $2 above face value. Online resellers have a license.

Massachusetts has drafted a bill that would make scalping legal. The bill is in the Senate where it awaits a final vote. No date has been set.

As long as Boston's professional sports teams remain competitive, fans will have to compete for tickets to games. And every sign indicates the cost and the fight for tickets will remain high.
