Emerson Group Wins Global Contest on E-Waste
(CBS4) BOSTON A group of graduate students at Emerson College has won first place in a worldwide marketing contest for their project on the dangers of electronic waste.
The "Save a Life" campaign was made up of a series of print and television ads, a podcast and website. Their goal is to inform people of the toxic dangers created by simply throwing away computers, cell phones and other electrical devices.
The students and their professor, who call themselves "Mixed Greens, Environmental Marketing Solutions" will be accepting their award in Dubai, United Arab Emirates later this month.
The team members are Carla Hollingsworth, Sebastien Klein, Shondra Temple, Sanam Petri, Talli Pinhasi , Amanda Callahan, Mandy Yan Liu and Jessica Perrone.
Professor Thomas Vogel and Executive-in-Residence Jim Rowean along with Journalism Technology Manager Jon Satriale contributed to the project.
